Importance of fitness in daily life :- 

Maintaining a physically fit body will overall make you stronger, and live a healthy lifestyle. Being physically fit will improve the performance of all the muscles in your body including your heart, and helps with, balance, power, speed, coordination, and many more aspects .
Fitness is very important for good health. Besides feeling better mentally, exercising can help protect you from heart disease, stroke, obesity, diabetes, and high blood pressure; and it can make you look younger, increase and maintain bone density, improve the quality of your life, and may keep you from getting sick.

There are two types of fitness:-

What is Mental Fitness ? 

Having and maintaining a state of well-being and cultivating awareness of how we think, behave and feel. Just as physical fitness provides us with an increased ability to respond to life in all its richness, mental fitness helps in the same way.

How to improve mental fitness ?

  1. Get physical exercise. The mind and body are interconnected.
  2. Eat and drink smart. .
  3. Meditate daily. 
  4. Keep a gratitude journal.
  5. Make noticing new things part of your day.
  6. Practice savoring. 
  7. Practice noticing your thoughts. .
  8. Practice body awareness.
  9. Believe in god . 



What are the 4 components of mental fitness?

  • Emotional: Self-acceptance, self-esteem and resilience.
  • Social:  Social companionship and support networks. 
  • Financial: Feeling in control of your finances helps reduce stress in your life.
  • Physical: Reduce risk of chronic illnesses developing and improve the health of your brain.

How does mental fitness help ?

Just as physical fitness helps our bodies to stay strong, mental fitness helps us to achieve and sustain a state of good mental health. When we are mentally healthy, we enjoy our life and environment, and the people in it. We can be creative, learn, try new things, and take risks.

Meditation can produce a deep state of relaxation and a tranquil mind. During meditation, you focus your attention and eliminate the stream of jumbled thoughts that may be crowding your mind and causing stress. This process may result in enhanced physical and emotional well-being.

A daily practice will provide the most benefits. It can be 10 minutes per day, however, 20 minutes twice a day is often recommended for maximum benefit.
